10-27-11 Trojans host sectional volleyball match

ROMNEY — Hampshire High’s volleyball team will begin sectional play at home next week.

The Trojans, seeded fourth in their Class AAA section, play host to fifth-seeded Elkins at 6 p.m. Monday. The winner travels to Weston Tuesday to play top-seeded Lewis County in a sectional semifinal.

No. 3 Bridgeport is at No. 2 Buckhannon-Upshur in Tuesday’s other sectional semifinal.

The winners of Tuesday’s matches meet Thursday for the sectional championship  at the home gym of the higher remaining seed.

Both of Tuesday’s winners are assured berths in the regional semifinals, which will be played Saturday at Lewis County.
