Special Services benefit from ‘Tootsie Roll Drive’

ROMNEY — Proceeds from the annual “Tootsie Roll Drive” held by the Knights of Columbus Council 10011   were presented to Hampshire County Special Services Jan. 19.

The Knights, based at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, have designated special services as its charity of choice.

“This is the second year they have donated to us. Jim Hannah promoted the Knights to come to us with these donations. I am very thankful and appreciative that they have recognized our service needs,” said Kevin Sanders, special services executive director.

Adrian said the Knights hope to continue the promotion and donation for many years to come.

“We would also like to thank the generous people from Romney for their contributions and support,” said Adrian.
